Nehemiah’s Prayer
1 The words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah:
In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa, 2 Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem. 3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”

Good morning and blessed be the name of the Lord.

We begin the preparation for our Missions Miracle Funding weekend – Feb 29th & March 1st. As we have said in the past, the battle for souls is not won only in the battle field, but it’s won during this important weekend – when we raise enough funds to support the program. Without funding – however anointed we are, there will be no effective missions and ministry – that is why this weekend is so important. Specifically for 2020 – it is even more critical because we are not just raising funds for the missions, but we are also raising additional funds to buy the land next door for the ministry and hence our target of Ksh 5million. There is no success that can come without the 3 P’s – planning, preparation and prayer and we call on all of us to rally together as we embark on what is possibly going to be our one of the most important events of this decade. We look to the book of Nehemiah that we started at the conference and ask for God to speak to us daily as we prepare.

Achieving what looks Impossible
Former South Africa President Nelson Mandela has been quoted with the saying “It Always Seems Impossible until It’s Done” and I agree with him. For a long time, people said it was impossible to run the marathon in under 2 hours until Kenyan marathoner Eliud Kipchoge stormed into the finish line in Vienna becoming the first human to run a marathon in under two hours, covering the 26.2-mile distance in a once inconceivable 1 hour, 59 minutes and 40 seconds on Saturday. Saturday.Oct 12, 2019. History and the world in general is changed by men and women that dare to do what looks impossible. There is some special grace that God dispenses to those that take a step of faith to confront what looks impossible. I don’t know about you, but I have quite a number of things ahead of me that look impossible, but am willing to Arise and step out trusting God for the miraculous. As a ministry, we have a target to raise Ksh 5million (Ksh 50,000 per person) during the funding day and this looks like a big and impossible challenge during current economic climate. At a personal level, may be you have been believing God to take you to another level in your career, business, family, relationships but when you look at where you are and where you intend to be, it looks impossible. May be you are tired of taking public transport and desire to own a vehicle or move out of rented houses into your own house but when you look at the facts – this looks impossible. This morning, I have some good news for you – what looks impossible is possible with God and we take a deep study of the book of Nehemiah and believe that God will speak to us. Some of you are going to give your highest amount ever and without struggle and will break the curse of lack and poverty and usher you into a new dimension – stick with us on this series and be open to change and have a heart of obedience and willingness to act. Nehemiah was able to accomplish what looked impossible in a record time and I believe the same is going to happen to us as a ministry and also to each one of us in our personal capacities and according to our faith. I pray that you will elevate your faith and thinking so that you will be able to tap into what God has in store for you. This morning, my prayer for you and all of us is that that 2020 will be the year we arise and into a new dimension. Welcome to the series.
Actions:
• Pray for a heart of wisdom and obedience on your part and all members of the team
• What one thing is so important to you yet looks impossible today. Identify this item as you pray as we expect God to speak to us

Wow amazing what looks impossible to men it is possible with God. Nehemiah stepped out to face the unknown and his courage worked for him. Let’s emulate him and surely it shall be well.
