Reading: Mark 6:35-44 New International Version (NIV)

Yesterday we looked at the principle of – organization and discipline as the nutrient for supernatural multiplication. Today we press on and pick up the next learning and this time from what Jesus did next  in verse – 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.

Whatever you have in your hands just look to heaven! Look to heaven with your five loaves and fish – This is the beginning of your miracle. It does not matter what you have or where you start – anyone that looks to heaven with what they have got will tap into the supernatural power of God.

Those that are willing to look to heaven have the humility to accept that on their own they can accomplish nothing. You are acknowledging that there is a God that created you and now you need His help. This revelation that man has a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is powerful and is the basis of true salvation. By acknowledging we sinned and that Jesus died on the cross to reconcile us to God – we tap into God’s divine resources. Jesus – the son of God started by lifting his eyes to heaven. This morning – I would like to challenge all of us – let us lift our eyes to heaven. There is always the temptation to lift our eyes to what we are familiar with or what we know worked for us last time, but by doing so you limit yourself. In moments where the need is so big and what we have is so little, we can be tempted to give up, to say it doesn’t matter or just resign and say, life will always be like this, but this morning I would like to encourage you – lift your eyes to heaven. See the God who created the universe and understand that he is available to help you. Talk to Him about your situation. Switch off from the noise of all those around you and see the deliverance of the Lord.
